The application period is now open for grants aimed at promoting personal autonomy and accessibility for people with disabilities who are facing social hardship or vulnerability.
There are two types of financial aid:
- Financial assistance for the purchase of assistive devices—not covered by the National Health System—that mitigate the effects of a disability and promote personal autonomy.
- Mobility assistance for travel related to training and job placement; for the purchase of electric-powered wheelchairs (limited to electric scooters); and for the adaptation of motor vehicles or the removal of barriers from them.
Deadline for submitting applications
- Start date:April 2, 2024
- End date:April 22, 2024
Recipients
People with a physical, intellectual, or sensory disability of 33% or more who are experiencing hardship or social vulnerability.
