On December 28, 2024, the Presidency of the Spanish National Research Council (CSIC) announced an extraordinary selection process for the recruitment of permanent staff with disabilities. This call, framed within the temporary employment stabilization process, is aimed at individuals holding a university degree at the Senior Graduate level, outside the Single Collective Bargaining Agreement of the General State Administration.
The initiative complies with the provisions of Royal Decree 408/2022 and Law 20/2021, which seek to reduce temporary employment in the public sector. Through this call, the objective is to fill vacant positions at the CSIC, addressing staffing needs and promoting employment stability in the field of scientific research.
This call will be published in the Official State Gazette ("Boletín Oficial del Estado"), on the General Access Point: www.administracion.gob.es, as well as on the website of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities www.ciencia.gob.es and on that of the CSIC State Agency: www.csic.es.
Candidate Requirements:
The requirements to participate in the selection process are as follows:
- Hold Spanish nationality.
- Be a national of a Member State of the European Union.
- Any individual, regardless of nationality, who is the spouse of a Spanish citizen or a national of another Member State of the European Union, provided they are not legally separated. Direct ascendants and dependent ascendants of the spouse may also participate, as well as dependent descendants under 21 years of age or older.
- Individuals included within the scope of International Treaties ratified by Spain that allow for the free movement of workers in the European Union.
- Foreign nationals not covered by the preceding points who legally reside in Spain.
Individuals included in sections a) and b) will not need to submit additional documentation regarding their nationality if they authorize the verification of their data through the Identity Data Verification System. Other applicants must attach supporting documentation certifying the conditions claimed.
In addition, candidates must meet the following supplementary requirements:
- Legal capacity: Have the legal capacity to enter into employment contracts in accordance with Article 7 of the Workers' Statute.
- Age: Be over 16 years of age and not exceed the maximum mandatory retirement age.
- Qualifications: Hold the required degree or be in a position to obtain it, and in the case of qualifications obtained abroad, present the corresponding official recognition or equivalence.
- Functional compatibility: Possess the necessary functional capacity to carry out the duties of the position.
- Disqualification check: Not have been dismissed from service in any Public Administration, nor be disqualified from holding public posts. In the case of foreign nationals, not have been subject to equivalent disqualifications.
- Disability: Certify a recognized degree of disability equal to or greater than 33%, submitting the official Technical Assessment Report certifying the degree of disability.
