The Center for the Standardization of Spanish Sign Language (CNLSE), an advisory body to the Royal Board on Disability, will hold another edition of the CNLSE Conference on Spanish Sign Language between the November 17 and 18, 2022 in a hybrid format (in-person / online).
At this conference, the CNLSE aims to provide a forum for the exchange of knowledge, experiences, and reflections on topics related to Spanish Sign Language, Catalan Sign Language, and other sign languages.
The conference's thematic areas will serve as a forum for reflection and the exchange of ideas on topics related to linguistic and cultural rights. This event has a dual purpose: on the one hand, to serve as a setting for discussing linguistic rights from any relevant perspective; on the other, to provide a platform for disseminating initiatives and research on the linguistic, sociopolitical, legal, and cultural aspects of sign languages as minority and marginalized languages.
The organizing committee invites submissions of proposals for presentations or panel discussions related to the conference's thematic areas. The most important dates are as follows:
- Deadline for submitting proposals:June 30, 2022
- Notification of acceptance:July 15, 2022
- Registration: beginningSeptember 1, 2022
