The Queen Letizia Program for Inclusion, organized by the Royal Board on Disability, aims to provide financial assistance to students with disabilities. This helps alleviate the challenges these young people face and enables them to attend classes on an equal footing with other students. The funding for this year’s program has increased significantly compared to previous years. In addition, the program benefits from the collaboration of the ONCE Foundation, which participates in its management.
The scholarships cover a range of services, from personal assistants and sign language interpreters to assistive devices and financial assistance for domestic or international travel, among other benefits. These are all intended for students at various university levels: bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral programs.
These grants are compatible with one another, provided that the total amount does not exceed 15,000 euros per person. In addition, they can be combined with other types of scholarships and grants from different organizations. To apply, you can submit your application online through the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda’s website or by mailing the application, along with the required documentation, to the General Secretariat of the Royal Board on Disability. The application deadline is July 16, 2021.
