The Queen Letizia Program for Inclusion, organized by the Royal Board on Disability, aims to provide financial support to students with disabilities. In doing so, it helps alleviate the challenges faced by these young people and ensures they can access higher education on equal terms with other students. In this edition, funding has been significantly increased compared to previous years. Furthermore, this program benefits from the collaboration of the ONCE Foundation, which participates in its management.
The grants cover expenses ranging from personal assistants and sign language interpreters to assistive products or support for national and international mobility, among other provisions. All of these are intended for students across different university levels: Bachelor's, Master's, and Doctoral programs.
These grants are mutually compatible, provided that the total amount does not exceed €15,000 per person. In addition, they can be combined with other types of scholarships and grants from various organizations. To apply, submissions can be made online through the electronic portal of the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda, or by sending the application, along with the corresponding documentation, to the General Secretariat of the Royal Board on Disability. The application deadline is July 16, 2021.
