Diego Laguía. The Care Unit for People with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs invites anyone interested to participate in both sessions, which will take place next Tuesday, April 20.
On the one hand, the Universia Foundation will present its 5th University and Disability Study, which addresses the response of universities to the needs arising from the COVID-19 crisis, as well as how the community of students with disabilities has been affected during this period. The research conducted to facilitate this initiative involved the collaboration of 61 public and private universities and 1,860 students with disabilities.
For the past ten years, the Universia Foundation has been studying the progress of disability inclusion within the university environment, in collaboration with organizations such as the ONCE Foundation, the Conference of Rectors of Spanish Universities (CRUE), the Spanish Committee of Representatives of Persons with Disabilities (CERMI), and the Royal Board on Disability.
The presentation will take place on Tuesday at 12:00 p.m. and will be broadcast from the Documentation Centre of the Royal Board on Disability. To access the event, prior registration is required via this link.
That same day, one hour later at 1:00 p.m., the Women in Science Organization has organized an event in collaboration with the ALBA Network, Europe's leading network promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion in the scientific community. The event will feature Carmen Sandi, a renowned neuroscientist from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Lausanne (EPFL) and Director of the National Centre of Competence in Research.
