The ONCE Foundation has launched the Second Call for Grants to Prepare for Group A Civil Service Exams for Various Government Agencies. The purpose of these grants, which amount to a maximum of 5,000 euros per year per student, is to promote access to public sector employment for college students with disabilities. People with disabilities are underrepresented in these government positions. In line with the civil service strategy to promote diversity in government agencies and in response to the identified need, the ONCE Foundation will provide financial incentives and support for this training initiative, which can help university students gain access to highly skilled jobs in the public sector.
Characteristics of the Assistance
The maximum budget that the ONCE Foundation will allocate to funding the second edition of the Grant Program to Promote Access to Public Employment for People with Disabilities amounts to €200,000.
Each eligible person will receive financial assistance of up to €5,000 per year.
Requirements
Individuals who meet the following requirements may apply for financial assistance under this program:
- Have an officially recognized disability with a degree of disability of 33% or higher.
- Be a Spanish citizen.
- Hold the university degree required for admission to the corresponding civil service category and/or grade.
- Be enrolled—either in-person or online—at a center specializing in preparation for civil service exams, or receive training from a civil service exam preparer for “Group A” (A1 or A2) of any Spanish public administration.
- Not currently receiving any grants or subsidies for the same purpose, whether from public or private entities.
- Not engaging in any work activity. “No work activity” means that the applicant is not working either as a self-employed person or as an employee, regardless of the income or compensation the worker receives for their work.
- Not be receiving a pension or benefit listed in the Public Social Benefits Registry with an annual gross amount of 15,000€ or more at the time of application.
Submission of Applications
Applications must be submitted exclusively online by filling out the web form provided for this purpose on the ONCE Foundation Scholarship Portal (https://becas.fundaciononce.es/Paginas/BecasOposiciones.aspx). Each applicant may submit only one application during this edition of the Program.
