The Olivenza Report, prepared by the State Observatory on Disability, periodically analyzes the situation of people with disabilities in Spain and, specifically, the state of social inclusion for people with disabilities in the region of Extremadura. It is based primarily on documentary, legislative, and statistical sources.
This edition addresses issues related to the sociodemographic analysis of people with disabilities in Spain; the OED’s indicators on the social inclusion of people with disabilities in Spain; the generation of knowledge about the population with disabilities in Spain; and the follow-up to the Concluding Observations of the United Nations Committee on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities regarding Spain’s combined second and third periodic reports from 2019. Furthermore, in line with the OED’s ties to Extremadura—which is supported by the Regional Government and the University of Extremadura—the Olivenza Report provides, as in previous editions, an analysis of the situation of people with disabilities in Extremadura.
