To mark World Fibromyalgia Day, on May 12, the 3rd Conference on Exercise and Fibromyalgia Research (JIEF-III)will take place, organized in collaboration with the "Afinsyfacro" Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome Association and the research group NECODOR (Cognitive Neuroscience, Pain, and Rehabilitation) of the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos.
The hybrid event (in-person and online) will take place at the University's Faculty of Health Sciences on the Alcorcón campus, between 9:00 a.m. and 7:00 p.m. The conference will feature three symposia focusing on scientific advancements from the past decade related to fibromyalgia, addressing three key pillars:
- The neurobiological foundations of the condition.
- Understanding and managing its symptoms.
- New treatment strategies.
Among the invited speakers are leading national and international experts in the study of this condition, such as Federica Galli and Vicente Palop. In addition, scientific posters showcasing recent research will be presented, offering direct insight into studies currently being conducted both nationally and internationally.
