On April 2, as every year since 2007, we celebrate World Autism Spectrum Disorder Day. To support the organizations advocating for this cause, the Unit for the Care of Persons with Disabilities and Special Educational Needs at Universidad Rey Juan Carlos would like to share this message, and we encourage the entire University Community to do so as well.
The United Nations General Assembly established this date to highlight the need to strive for genuine inclusion and to achieve an improved quality of life for the community.
“A happy journey through life” is the motto chosen for the World Autism Awareness Day 2022 campaign, aiming to emphasize the right of people diagnosed with this disorder and their families to enjoy a fulfilling life.
