The "Oportunidad al Talento" scholarships are part of the initiative launched by the Fundación ONCE offers support to college students with disabilities. Its mission is to support the college education, professional training, and academic and research careers of people with special needs, thereby promoting their integration into technical and highly skilled jobs. The Foundation’s goal is to achieve equal opportunities through inclusion in education.
The program offers grants for master’s and postgraduate studies and transnational mobility. This allows students who receive these grants to pursue their degrees at foreign universities, engage in academic and athletic pursuits, and pursue doctoral studies and research. To apply, applicants must have a legally recognized disability of at least 33 percent and must be students enrolled in upper secondary school or higher, as well as college students or researchers.
When registering, you must provide your national ID card, your official disability certificate, your most recent family income tax return, a letter of motivation explaining why you wish to receive the assistance, and a resume with your current personal and professional information.
Along with this documentation, applicants must submit their academic transcript, proof of university enrollment or pre-registration, and proof of their language proficiency. The latter is required if the mobility program being applied for is transnational. If the applicant is applying under the Studies and Sports track, they must submit proof of membership in a sports federation. For the Doctoral track, applicants must include their master’s degree certificate, thesis proposal, and proof of enrollment at the university where the research project will be conducted.
