The call is now open for the Queen Letizia National Disability Awards, awards presented by the Ministry of Social Rights and the 2030 Agenda through the Royal Board on Disability to recognize efforts toward inclusion and the protection of the rights of people with disabilities.
Every year, Her Majesty the Queen, as honorary president, presents them personally.
These awards, established for the first time as “National Awards” by the Government of Spain, are intended to encourage and recognize the achievements, dedication, and contributions of individuals and public and private entities in the areas of inclusion, full citizenship, and the effective enjoyment of human rights by people with disabilities, with special attention given to women and girls with disabilities, mothers and caregivers of people with disabilities, and rural communities.
The award categories are:
- Research and Innovation.
- Accessibility and Universal Design in Municipalities.
- Workplace Inclusion.
- Inclusive Culture.
- Inclusive Sports.
- Human Rights.
- Inclusive Education.
- Gender Equality and the Eradication of Violence Against Women and Girls with Disabilities.

The deadline for submitting applications isOctober 17, 2022.
