Erasmus+ European Programme «Educational Empowerment and Social Inclusion of Students with Disabilities through the Use of Digital Systems»

COCEMFE_EESI-DIGI_ERASMUSThe EESI Digi project aims to create an inclusive educational environment that promotes equity and equality and responds to the latest technological demands, transforming the barriers posed by digital tools into supportive resources in the effort to complete studies and acquire skills.

The Spanish Confederation of People with Physical and Organic Disabilities (COCEMFE) is participating in the European project “Educational Empowerment and Social Inclusion of Students with Disabilities through Digital Solutions and Assistive Technologies (EESI Digi).” They are offering the opportunity to travel for free to meet other people who have participated in the project. They are looking for a little help to review the work they have done so far, and, while you’re at it, they’ll train you on some topics related to accessibility and the digital realm.

What do you need to participate?

  1. Be a faculty member or student at a university in Spain; be a member of a specific student support service at a university; or be a member of a COCEMFE affiliate and perform duties in the field of higher education or vocational training.
  2. You should have a level of English that allows you to communicate verbally and understand written texts. The course will be taught in English, so it is important that you realistically assess your own English proficiency.
  3. A desire to learn about basic ICT tools for people with disabilities, communication, collaboration, and collaborative platforms, mobile accessibility, web accessibility, and accessibility in Office.
  4. Be available to travel to Budapest (Hungary) between October 11 and 18, or to Vilnius (Lithuania) between November 2 and 8. The specific dates will be announced at a later time; in any case, the trips will take place within the dates mentioned above.

*Travel, lodging, and meal expenses will be covered by the project; therefore, a commitment to participate may be required depending on the number of people who register.

**The number of available spots is very limited, so we may conduct additional tests to ensure the selection process is as fair as possible.
