Rey Juan Carlos University aims to become an international leader as a “University 2030,” leveraging the Strategic Plan to drive and align the efforts of the university community around the 17 SDGs.
We want our students to understand and address the challenges posed by the 2030 Agenda; we want the support staff to take action to contribute to the SDGs; and we want the faculty to be motivated to integrate the SDGs into their teaching and to conduct research and propose innovative solutions that help meet this challenge. We want to build a united community in the fight against poverty and inequality, develop new technologies and methods to improve health and access to safe drinking water, enhance the quality of education, increase energy efficiency and environmental stewardship, and create a more just and peaceful society.
Our university is taking on this challenge and is joining the effort to advance the SDGs through the strategic project “URJC-2030,” which aims to align the efforts of our entire university community to achieve the greatest possible impact on the SDGs and make our institution a leader among universities in this regard.
